چکیده

Heat stress during the grain filling is one of most critical factors impacting yield in winter wheat. In a two-year field experiment, we studied effects 24-Epicastasterone and KH2PO4 on heat-stressed wheat applied different times. A completely randomized block design was used with three reagents, that is, 24-Epicastasterone, H2O spraying times, pre-heat, under-heat post-heat. Two cultivars, Huaimai 33 Annong 0711 were subjected to 7 d post-flowering heat using plastic tents. Our study suggests greater weight plants achieved through sustaining leaf greenness higher assimilates supplies grains. When sprayed either or could sustain relatively photosynthetic capacity by up-regulating antioxidant enzymes reduced damage lipid membranes chlorophyll. We also found more effective improving physiology than 24-Epicastasterone. Further analysis showed pre-heat post-heat pronounced protecting from injury under stress. Thus, prior post incidence recommended protect crops terminal

The impact of terminal heat stress on yield and heat tolerance of bread wheat

In arid and semi-arid regions of the world bread wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) yield is highlylimited due to late season heat stress, mostly occurring during the reproductive phase. Hence thecurrent study was conducted to evaluate the effect of late season heat stress on grain yield andyield components of 20 spring bread wheat cultivars. For this purpose, a stripe block experimentincluding four ...

Relationships between disease control, green leaf duration, grain quality and the production of alcohol from winter wheat.

BACKGROUND Since demand for distilling wheat is expected to increase rapidly as a result of the development of the bioethanol industry, efficient production will become of increasing importance. Achieving this will require an understanding of the agronomic factors that influence both grain yield and alcohol yield. Therefore five field experiments using the winter distilling wheat variety Glasgo...

Modeling Leaf Production and Senescence in Wheat

A major component in a crop growth model is leaf area development, which has a major influence on photosynthesis and transpiration. The knowledge about the leaf area development of wheat especially in high temperature environments is incomplete. The aim of this study was to quantify leaf production and senescence of 15 spring wheat cultivars. Field experiments were conducted at the research far...

Evaluation of Grain-Quality Related Traits of F5 Lines of Wheat under Terminal Drought Stress Conditions

Extended Abstract Introduction and Objective: Drought stress is the most prevalent and limiting factor in the growth and productivity of crop plants. According to the challenge of deficiency in precipitation or consecutive droughts in recent years in Iran and as a result of a shortage of irrigation water in wheat production, knowledge of the relationship between grain quality and grain yield ...
